The porn/viagra bots are getting annoying. I just deleted every topic in the General Discussion forum because of all the ###### that is posted in there.

SD, if you plan on using the forums again later, some anti-bot measures would be great. smile.gif

We had established a front at the General discussion forum but their massive numbers overwhelmed us and they have spread to other forums. There is not much time. Please refrain from using smile.gif as your post icon as you will be labeled as a bot and exterminated. That is all.

We already know SD will not be using these forums again. Though for a reason completely unrelated to the bot swarms (but it is the reason we can't get a good control over them).

SD screwed up the Admin CP and can't get into it anymore. So we will need a new forums in the future. Thus we can't IP ban or update the boards or re-institute e-mail/image verification or anything that would stymie the bots. We also can't add new forums or change moderators or anything of that sort which is needed for the maintenance of forums.
